What a great place with really tasty food. Kitchen, seating area and washrooms are spotless. Obviously a lot of pride in this business and the good reviews have been rightly earned. Food is not too spicy and the offer hot sauces to bump up the heat it you want it. I had a goat roti and it was the tastiest thing I have eaten all week. Prices are fair and portions are large. Coleslaw was delicious too!
Absolutely fantastic food and service! Northern Caribbean Restaurant serves up some of the most authentic and flavorful Caribbean dishes I’ve had. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of heat, and the oxtail was tender and rich in flavor. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and put a lot of love into their cooking. The portions are generous, and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. If you’re looking for delicious Caribbean food in a great atmosphere, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
This place is amazing. Stop what you’re doing and go get some jerk from here! The rice and peas are spot on! The slaw is perfect for the jerk spice! And the chicken is soooo good! We also had the roti and it was perfect too! That and a bottle of ting and you’re good to go! Can’t recommend enough!
I recently visited northern Caribbean Restaurant and was absolutely blown away by the authentic flavours and warm hospitality. The BBQ chicken was perfectly spiced, with a smoky, fiery kick that left me wanting more. I also tried the roti with curry chicken and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender, served with a rich gravy. The portions were generous, and every bite felt like a true taste of Jamaica. The atmosphere was vibrant and laid-back, making it the perfect spot for both a casual meal and a special occasion. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall wonderful experience. If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine, northern caribbean is a must-visit! This is a regular go to for us. It’s real food and the best fast food option around. The kitchen is big and clean the food is flavourful and not to spicy for your whole family to enjoy... I like spicy so I make sure to get a side of the house made hot sauce it’s the bessssst! I recently choose to have my 40th beach party catered by northern Caribbean and all of my guest loved it!!! So happy to introduce this great place family and food to more people in our community. Marcia the owner even called a couple days after our event to ensure everything was good and get feedback. Best service ever and if they have soup grab a bowl it’s sooo good. We love the jerk chicken and pork, oxtail, the curry and I love the refreshing coleslaw honestly everything is great !!! Must try

We finally got a chance to try this out. We were excited to get some local Caribbean food and this place exceeded expectations. We had the fried chicken which comes with rice & peas and slaw. Excellent flavor on the chicken and the sides were outstanding. Also had the oxtail which was also amazing. Same side with the oxtail. The beef patties were loaded with flavorful filling. Best Caribbean food so far in Ontario and it's only 10 minutes away. Please go try and support the new business, it will be worth your while.
The one thing missing since I moved to the area is diversity in food options. I love Carribean food, especially Oxtail and it has been years since I have had any. So when I saw that Northern Caribbean Restaurant opened in Penetang and the great reviews this is what I wanted for our Anniversary dinner. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The portions are huge, lets start there. Loads of the main in both of our orders. I had the Oxtail Dinner and my husband had the Jerk Chicken. Our containers were overflowing. And not just with sides. The rice was so flavourful and perfectly cooked. The Oxtail most definitely is the best I have had. Perfectly spiced, hot enough without being overpowering. I love heat and this was perfect. The flavours just kept hitting my mouth one after another. You know the meal was epic when your mouth is still popping with flavour well after you ate. My husband loved the Jerk Chicken, his portion was huge, again the rice was amazing. We also got beef patties for a late night snack and I will update later when we eat them lol. But they smell so good. As for the Restaurant itself, my hubby oicked up but used their washroom while thwre and said the restraunt was so clean all through. The staff was friendly and the service great. They have both eat in and take out options. The prices are incredible! Less that 20.00 for an adult to eat with leftovers to spare This is absolutely my new go to Restaurant ! Go check them out and support this wonderful new restaurant!
